geogrAPHY

Our aim is to inspire students with a deep curiosity and fascination about the world we live in. We seek to equip them with rich knowledge of diverse places, people, resources, and both natural and human environments, while also strengthening their understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. Alongside this knowledge, students develop strong geographical and numerical skills that help them recognise the relevance of geography in their everyday lives and future pathways.

Students build a comprehensive understanding of contemporary geographical issues through a balanced mix of physical, human and environmental geography, fully aligned with the Jersey Curriculum.

To support their learning, the Geography Department provides bespoke booklets for each unit of study. These booklets offer an accessible structure for students to demonstrate and deepen their understanding, gradually building geographical vocabulary and progressing from surface-level knowledge to deeper conceptual mastery as they move through the curriculum.
