e-safety

Parents / Carers play a crucial role in ensuring that their children understand the need to use the internet / mobile devices in an appropriate way. The school will take every opportunity to help parents understand these. Parents and carers will be encouraged to support the school in promoting good digital safeguarding practice.

Mr Chris Jones has overall responsibility for safeguarding. Mr Watson is the schools Digital Safeguarding Representative. Devices that are connected to the school network are constantly monitored and the content students can access is restricted.

Whilst we cannot control the content that students access and share on their personal devices or across home networks we can offer you help and support on how to both monitor and control these. We strongly advise that you keep an open dialogue with your sons and daughters about the content that they are getting on their devices and encourage devices not be left in bedrooms overnight.
