Les Quennevais Steel Band

Known throughout the island, the Les Quennevais Steel Band is one of our school’s most vibrant and popular musical groups.

Made up of students from across all year groups, the band performs an eclectic range of songs, bringing energy, colour and rhythm to every occasion. From school events and local fêtes to festivals, parties, weddings and community celebrations, the sound of our steel pans is instantly recognisable.

All of our steel bands practise weekly, giving students regular opportunities to develop their musical skills, grow in confidence and experience the excitement of playing as part of a committed ensemble. Each band gives students the opportunity to develop their musical skills, perform with confidence and be part of a supportive, high-energy team. It is also one of the many ways our students proudly represent Les Quennevais beyond the classroom.

With performances across Jersey and even tours in Europe during Activity Week, the Les Quennevais Steel Band continues to share its unmistakable sound far and wide.
